Biography
Jui-Sheng Rayson Chou is Chair Professor in the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech). He also serves as Vice President for General Affairs and Director of the Hsinchu Branch, Program Chair of the Civil and Hydraulic Engineering Program at Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), and President of the Taiwan Construction Management Association. His Taiwan Tech Distinguished Professorship ran from March 2018 to December 2020; he has served as Chair Professor since January 2021.
His expertise spans construction engineering and project management, civil and hydraulic engineering informatics, artificial intelligence, intelligent optimization, building energy and microgrids, decision and risk analysis, engineering failure investigation, and sustainable infrastructure management. His research philosophy is to transform real engineering and governance problems into original, explainable, transferable, and deployable methods.
