Jui-Sheng Rayson Chou specializes in project management and engineering informatics. He is a Chair Professor at the Department of Civil and Construction Engineering and the Dean for General Affairs at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. Dr. Chou received his Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Project Management from the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He holds professional engineering licenses and currently serves as the Program Chair (Convener) of the Civil & Hydraulic Program at the National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan (NSTC), in addition to his involvement in professional committees. He has provided consulting services to numerous private and public engineering organizations. He is the primary author of hundreds of journal articles, book chapters, conference papers, and technical reports on data science and artificial intelligence (AI) in engineering management. Many of his articles have been published in high-impact journals. He is one of the most highly cited scholars in his domain, according to Scopus, and ResearchGate. As a devoted researcher and educator, he has mentored over 120 graduate talents and is a member of several international journal editorial boards. He has received numerous awards and honors and is ranked among the world's top scientists in Building & Construction; Information & Communication Technologies. He has been awarded merit for his NSTC research. He has been nominated for the Eni Award. He has been honored twice with the NSTC Outstanding Research Award. He has twice been awarded the NSTC Excellent Young Scholar Research Project; he has twice won the CCMA Best Construction Management Journal Paper of the Year; He has won multiple Best Paper Awards at reputable international/domestic conferences, several Innovation and Entrepreneurship Awards, the MOE Excellent Senior Faculty Award, the University Outstanding/Excellent Faculty Research Award six times, and the Excellent Industry-University Collaboration Faculty Award. Elsevier has recognized him for his outstanding contribution to review, and he is the author of ESI Highly Cited Papers and Elsevier/ASCE Most Cited Articles at some time in the past. He has an endowed chair and a distinguished professorship at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, is the Del E. Webb Eminent Scholar at the Del E. Webb School of Construction by Arizona State University, and holds the RISUD Visiting Fellowship (Construction Management) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as awarded by the Kwong Wah Education Foundation. His primary teaching and research interests are engineering informatics related to civil & hydraulic engineering, building energy management, cost & financial management, technology & project management, quantitative analytics & intelligence, decision analysis, and risk reduction. In particular, his Project intelligence & Management (PiM) Research Lab mainly applies fundamental theories, professional skills & scientific techniques of artificial intelligence & machine/deep learning (AI.ML.DL), information technology (IT), and data science (multivariate statistics (MS), structural equation modeling (SEM), and Monte Carlo simulation (MCS)) to the following research areas.
